The ‘Waitsia Indigenous STEM Scholarship’ is available to Aboriginal students studying at Central Regional TAFE in Geraldton. Students must be full-time and enrolled in courses under the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) umbrella – this includes Pre-Apprenticeships in Electrical, Engineering and other Trade-related programs, Industrial Skills, Resource and Infrastructure, Information Technology, Work Preparation/Literacy and Numeracy courses as well as Sustainability and Environmental study options.

This Scholarship is funded by the Waitsia joint venture of Mitsui E&P Australia and Beach Energy.

Up to six scholarships of $1,000 are available each year, with the funds going towards student course fees, future studies and resource fees.
