Mitsui E&P Australia (MEPAU) has awarded more than $40,000 in Mid West Community Grants to local community groups and not-for-profits during 2023, including:
- $4,000 for Irwin District Sub Centre St John Ambulance’s two-part event, with a youth First Aid and cultural awareness workshop, and a St John Ambulance volunteer ‘thank you’ event.
- $4,000 for Foodbank WA to deliver a four-part nutrition program in Geraldton.
- $3,000 contribution to the Coorow Community Christmas Tree event.
- $2,750 for Green Head Coast Care to install a set of steps for safer access from Three Bays Walkway to Anchorage Bay beach for the public.
- $4,000 for Eneabba Community Playgroup to purchase fence materials for their playground and create a safer environment for the children.
- $4,000 contribution to Dongara’s Breeze’s Netball Club sustainable uniforms initiative.
- $4,000 for Desert Blue Connect to deliver two community mental wellbeing sessions in Shire of Morawa.
- $4,000 contribution to Green Head Sporting Club to replace the tennis court fence and gate, and later $2,772 (round two of 2023) to concrete their tennis shelter floor.
- $4,000 contribution to the Morawa Golf and Bowling Club’s replacement of function chairs.
- $4,000 contribution to the Horrocks Town Team to support the construction of the Lookout Bridge at Horrocks.
MEPAU’s Mid West Community Grant Program supports not-for-profit community groups, clubs and organisations to implement projects that enhance and promote community wellbeing in the Mid West.
