The Waitsia discovery has revitalised gas exploration in the region and provided security of gas supply to WA industry and its residents.
Our diverse Australian exploration portfolio includes permits onshore in the Perth Basin, Western Australia and Bowen Basin in Queensland. Offshore, MEPAU holds interests in the Exmouth Sub-basin and Browse Basin in Western Australia and the Otway and Gippsland Basins offshore Victoria.
MEPAU also holds interests in the producing Vincent and Greater Enfield oil fields (WA-28-L & WA-59-L, Exmouth Sub-basin), the producing Casino, Henry, and Netherby Gas Fields (VIC/L24 & VIC/L30, Otway Basin), the producing Kipper gas field (VIC/L25, Gippsland Basin), and the producing Meridian, Mungi North and Mungi West (PL94, PL1048 & PL1049, Qld) Coal seam Gas fields.
